International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year. In different regions, the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women for their economic, political and social achievements.
The EKU Department of Languages, Cultures, and Humanities have earmarked funds for study abroad programs in Germany (The Dr. Ursel Doris Boyd and Freida Weidemann German Study Abroad Scholarship) as well as open funds for the study of language and/or culture anywhere outside of the USA (The Virginia N. Parrish Memorial Scholarship for Study Abroad).
